ABS-CBN, the country’s leading media and entertainment company proved to be the network of choice for the alumni of De La Salle University-Dasma (DLSU-D) after winning Best TV Station and three more major awards at the first Animo Media Choice Awards on July 21 at the DLSU campus in Dasmarinas, Cavite.
ABS-CBN’s flagship newscast “TV Patrol,” anchored by Noli De Castro, Ted Failon, and Bernadette Sembrano also won Best News Program on TV. For radio, Ted’s morning show “Failon Ngayon sa DZMM” on DZMM 630 won Best AM Radio Program. Veteran broadcast journalist Karen Davila, who anchors “Pasada Sais Trenta” also on DZMM, won Best Female News Anchor on AM Radio.
More than 2,000 alumni from De La Salle University-Dasmarinas voted in the first Anima Media Choice Awards, which honors the best media networks, programs, and personalities that embody the Lasallians’ “Animo” spirit of drive, passion, and purpose. This new recognition marks the Kapamilya network’s 13th Best TV Station nod in 2018 alone.
