After several standing ovations and sold-out shows from more than 7 million audiences in over 17 countries, the renowned Drum Tao group of Japan recently brought their extraordinary show to Shangri-La Plaza at the Grand Atrium for a captivating display of their dance, martial arts, and percussion talents.
Mall guests were able to witness firsthand Samurai Drum Rock, a one-of- a-kind musical drum concert where highly-trained Japanese Taiko drummers beat their Wadaiko drums together with passionate chanting and music—truly a unique theatrical experience acclaimed by audiences all over the world for the performers’ flawless movements and the show’s eclectic mix of dance and martial arts.
Since their debut in 2004 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Drum Tao group rapidly became a smash hit worldwide. The group currently does an average of 500 of their groundbreaking traditional Japanese drumming performances a year across the globe.
Those who missed their performance at the Shang can still experience Drum Tao’s inspiring and immersive rhythm, beats, and melodies at the KIA Theater from April 19 to 22. For more information, visit www.ticketnet.com.ph.
