Immerse yourself in waves of fun and excitement this summer as Hong Kong destination and shopping centre Harbour City teams up with Snarkitecture, a renowned New York-based design studio, to create their first interactive art installation called “BOUNCE” from August 10 to September 2, 2018.
Known for their all-white innovative and experiential works that blend art and architecture, Snarkitecture has received international media attention for their innovative and Instagram-worthy works, from recreating a summer beach experience with over 1,000,000 recyclable balls in “The Beach” at the National Building Musuem in Washington D.C. to covering the runway and seating areas with 200 pounds of white confetti at Public School’s Spring/Summer 2015 show in New York Fashion Week.
For their first installation in Hong Kong, the studio tailor made a large outdoor stadium at Harbour City’s Ocean Terminal Forecourt and filled it with hundreds of large, white bouncy balls that visitors can interact with. In this surreal and interactive playground inspired by the “ordinary” bouncy ball, both kids and adults are encouraged to roll over, lift, toss, and bounce the balls as much as they wish.
To echo this ground-breaking exhibit, the Gallery by the Harbour (Shop 207, 2/F, Ocean Centre, Harbour City) has also been filled with oversized white and silver balls, and guests can enter the world of bouncy balls and take photos of the special design and installation. The Gallery is also selling limited-edition merchandise of the exhibition which includes BOUNCE shirts, pins, and bouncy balls.

The Harbour City x Snarkitecture “BOUNCE” interactive installation runs from August 10 to September 2, 2018, open everyday from 11AM to 7:30PM. The Eyeball Maze runs from August 10 to September 2, 2018, with 45-minute sessions starting every hour from 11AM until 7PM.
