Mentored by dancehall superstar Tarrus Riley, Jameik King is releasing his new single ‘Together As One‘ on August 24, 2018.
Already garnering attention from BBC Radio, along with interviews also on Grammy Award Winning Errol T. Brown‘s Big Reggae Mix, Jameik is turning heads.
He is hailed by many music industry insiders as an artist to watch and will be premiering his brand new music video for ‘Come Together As One‘ in the weeks leading up to Notting Hill Carnival.
Growing up in the parish capital of Morant Bay, Jameik King was drawn to music from an early age, and began his musical journey when he was just twelve years old, alongside his older brother Markland ‘Japanese’ Chung who played a significant role in his development.
As featured in Jamaica Observer, Jameik King launched his recording career with success with songs such as ‘Paradise’, which went to number one in Connecticut for two weeks on LiveStreamRadio.com, which led Jameik to be snapped up by the Flydie Wise Production receiving heavy rotation for his song, ‘One Step’, both locally and abroad on radio and TV such as FI WI Choice, CVM TV, and local cable stations.
The video which is released this July is filmed in Jamaica, showcasing beautiful scenery and communities working together – reinforcing a positive message at this time of global uncertainty.
Jameik’s message to ‘come together as one’ is poignant when you think about the political instability of the current world, consumed by the rapid rise of idealism working against togetherness.
Thrusting into the spotlight of the Jamaican music scene, Jameik King is hailed by many music industry insiders as an artist to watch. While he is appreciative of all the praises and accolades that have come his way, the humble entertainer is staying focused as he continues on his climb to the top of the music world.
