Manila Water Foundation, a local water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) organization, together with Manila Water Company, UNICEF Philippines, Department of Health (DOH), and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) – NCR called for zero open defecation during its celebration of the World Toilet Day last November 19 at Brgy. Loyola Heights, Quezon City.
World Toilet Day is an international campaign that raises awareness and inspires action to tackle the global sanitation crisis. 150 parent-leaders under the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps) attended the event, where they learned about proper sanitation in relation to health and environment.
