Meet Emmanuel.
He lives with his father and younger brother in the province of Isabela. When asked what’s on his wishlist for Christmas, Emmanuel only thought of his mother. His mother sacrifices to work abroad to provide for their family.
Emmanuel is just one of the many children assisted by World Vision through its Child Sponsorship program which helps children living in poor and vulnerable conditions in the Philippines.
This Christmas season, World Vision launched its Noche Buena Gift campaign with the theme “One Joy for Children” which hopes to give an opportunity for the underprivileged children and families to experience the joy of being together this Christmas.
“As we continue with our yearly Christmas tradition here at World Vision, we aim to highlight family togetherness through the sharing of a Noche Buena meal. And this is what makes this year different from the past campaigns”, explained Precious Basco, World Vision’s Donor Care Manager.
In Malabon, the first wave of Noche Buena distributions brought cheers and smiles to children.
Through generous givers, the Noche Buena Gift campaign hopes to reach 33,000 children and families nationwide. For only 1000 pesos donated to World Vision, two children and their families will have Noche Buena on their table this Christmas eve.
What a better time to teach about the value of coming together as one family than now, as we celebrate the season of joyful giving.
