Graffiti artists and Metro Manila student councils will be calling for the passage of the Safe Streets, Public Spaces and Workplace Act or the BAWAL BASTOS BILL through mural artworks in the streets of Manila and mark the end of Women’s Month.

Two panels of mural artworks will be unveiled: “There is no dress code for rape” and “Keep schools safe” as a stand against sexual harassment in public spaces that women and members of LGBT community go through every day.

Student councils from the University of the East, De La Salle University-Manila, Far Eastern University and the University of Santo Tomas will attend the event. House champion of the Bawal Bastos Bill Akbayan Partylist Rep. Tom Villarin will also give a short message.

The activity wishes to engage and remind the community of its responsibility in keeping the streets and public spaces safe for all.
