Joy~Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila welcomed the Christmas season with its annual tree lighting held last November 26, 2019.
In line with the hotel’s brand and commitment to sustainability and supporting Filipino art, music, and craftsmanship, the hotel is in partnership with Art Circle Gallery this festive season to raise funds and support the Virlanie Foundation for the second year, and the Pasig City-based music ensemble, Tunog Rizalia Rondalla of the Rizal Technological University in Pasig.
The tree lighting ceremony was graced by Pasig City Administrator Atty. Jeronimo Manzanero, representatives from the owning company, including Joy~ Nostalg Group CEO, Jacinto Ng, Jr., Mrs. Rachelle Ng, long staying guests, hotel partners, and friends from the media.
The event’s highlights were the performances of Tunog Rizalia Rondalla, a group of college students from Rizal Technological University located in Pasig City, playing Filipino folk and Christmas songs with their stringed instruments, and the Virlanie Voices, the chorale group composed of kids and young adults from the Virlanie Foundation.
“Apart from our dining and room offers this Christmas season, we will be holding an exhibition in partnership with Art Circle Gallery to feature the artworks of Filipino painters to support local artists and promote Philippine visual arts,” said Antoine Weinstein, general manager of Joy~Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila. The exhibit here at the Hotel Lobby will run from November 27, 2019 to January 6, 2020 and for any sold artwork, part of the proceeds will go to both Tunog Rizalia Rondalla and the Virlanie Foundation.
Joy~Nostalg Manila continues to support Virlanie’s retail brand, Likhaya by purchasing their sustainable eco-friendly bags as corporate giveaways to its guests and partners. Likhaya’s accessories made of upcycled materials are also on display at the Hotel Lobby for sale.
