Oakwood®, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mapletree Investments (“Mapletree”), recently announced the opening of its fifth property in Thailand, Oakwood Hotel JourneyHub Pattaya. The 76-unit property is the second under a strategic partnership between Oakwood and Boutique Corporate Public Company Limited, recently inked in February 2019.

Strategically located in Central Pattaya, the property is nestled within the commercial hub and is walking distance to various points of interest such as The Avenue Pattaya, Central Festival Pattaya Beach Mall, Walking Street and Pattaya Beach. The ideal base for corporate and leisure travellers alike, guests are a short stroll away from the Soi Buakhao Market and Jim Thompson Factory Outlet for retail therapy, while the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) can be accessed by car within 15 minutes.

“We are heartened to see the strategic partnership between Oakwood and Boutique Corporation continue to flourish since this is the second project after Phuket. Following our first joint project in Phuket, Oakwood Hotel JourneyHub Pattaya aims to serve an emerging segment of independent travellers seeking connectivity. Moreover, Oakwood’s competency in accommodating travellers with short to long-stay requirements enables us to provide value-for-money, chic and functional residences,” said Dean Schreiber, interim chief executive officer of Oakwood and managing director of Oakwood Asia Pacific.

Contemporary and functional in design, Oakwood Hotel Journeyhub Pattaya’s 76 rooms and suites are available across three categories – the deluxe room, junior suites and family suites. Each unit features a private balcony overlooking Pattaya City with some rooms offering sea views. For families and guests travelling in groups, the junior suite accommodates up to three guests, while the family suite comes with a bunk bed, offering great value and convenience.

Complementing the hotel experience are well-curated facilities and services such as a fitness centre, in-room dining, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, as well as a rooftop pool and an all-day dining restaurant – The Oaks Bistro which serves local and international dishes.
