PLDT Global Corporation (PLDT Global) has expanded its partnership with CommuniGate Technologies Limited (CTL) and DT One to provide overseas Filipinos more convenience and connectivity while they travel and work in other countries.

“PLDT Global continues to provide Filipinos overseas strong connectivity via SMS, voice, or mobile data, through apps like Free Bee, or Smart, TNT, and Sun products. And with the help of CTL and DT One, we can help them keep their relationships strong wherever they are in the world,” said Albert Villa-Real, PLDT Global Chief Commercial Officer.

CTL is a 100 percent-owned subsidiary of CTI based in Hong Kong and was established primarily to handle CTI’s international business. CTL has helped the international Filipino community by providing e-load and voice services since 2007, through its partnership with PLDT Global, Smart, and DT One.

“We at CTL are very proud to work with technology leaders such as PLDT Global and DT One to deliver services to millions of Filipinos not only in Southeast Asia, but also in other countries outside of the region,” said Renato P. Padilla, General Manager at CTL.

Meanwhile, DT One operates a global network for mobile top-up solutions and rewards that interconnects more than 550 mobile operators across 160 countries. The company delivers smarter data-driven mobile technology solutions to help more people across emerging economies stay better connected.

“Our goal as a business is to deliver greater access to digital communications for over five billion people across the world so that no one is left unconnected,” said Peter De Caluwe, CEO at DT One.

“We are very excited to be collaborating with PLDT Global and CTL, and through this partnership, Filipinos living and working across borders will now be able to send mobile and data top-ups directly to the mobile phones of their families and loved ones back home. And, with the addition of Free Bee PIN offerings, overseas Filipinos are also able to call home at more affordable rates enabling them to stay better connected,” Caluwe added.

This is one of the latest partnerships forged by PLDT Global to cater to millions of Filipino subscribers worldwide.
