Many people enjoy the intangible benefits of givinga pleasant feeling of connectedness and the satisfaction of doing something to make the world a better place. As a company that operates 57 stores in cities and towns across the country, Toby’s Sports has always believed in its duty to give back to the community, and the company does this by doing what they do bestproviding Filipinos from all walks of life access to sports.
In August 2019, Toby’s Sports found a worthy beneficiary in Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, a non-stock, non-government organization that has been providing services to Persons With Disabilities (PWD) for the past 45 years. Its programs and services are focused on the improvement of the quality of life of PWDs, most especially the orthopedically impaired, by providing training, educational assistance, mobility aid assistance, and livelihood.
Toby Claudio, President of Quorum International Inc., the parent company of Tobys Sports, recently met with members of Tahanang Walang Hagdanan and the group talked about their individual stories and bonded over their shared love for sports. “Toby’s Sports believes in giving everyone a chance play sports and live an active lifestyle, no matter their background. And I’m really so happy that the Tahanang Walang Hagdanan team sees the value that sports can bring to their amazing community,” Toby Claudio said.
Through its CSR arm, the Toby’s Youth Sports Foundation, Tobys Sports donated a variety of sports equipment, footwear, apparel and even a Ping Pong Table that brought so much delight to the Tahanang Walang Hagdanan community.
