UNIQLO, the Japanese global apparel retailer UT Grand Prix 2020 T-shirt design competition (UTGP 2020 + MoMA) seeks entries from around the world. The theme of this contest, now in its 15th year, is Draw Your World.
Inspired by New York’s renowned The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), UTGP 2020 returns to the competition’s founding ethos of celebrating T-shirts as blank canvases on which to make art accessible and enjoyable for all. UNIQLO is inviting several world-renowned artists approved by MoMA to serve on the judging panel.
The Grand Prize winner will receive PHP1,560,000, the largest purse yet for this contest, and an invitation to the awards ceremony at the Museum Store in MoMA. The Museum plans to display the winning designs in the Museum Store at MoMA. These designs will also be featured in UNIQLO’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection, which will be available in men’s and women’s lines from UNIQLO stores around the world and the UNIQLO.com online store.

About MoMA
The Museum of Modern Art in New York City is the world’s home for modern and contemporary art. Founded in 1929, MoMA was the first museum dedicated to new art and this bold, experimental vision continues to guide us today. We share the most thought-provoking and resonant works, from painting to performance, and are a place of creativity and inspiration for all. UNIQLO has sponsored the UNIQLO Free Friday Nights program at MoMA since May 2013. This program provides free access to the public to the museum from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on every Friday throughout the year in a commitment to make art more accessible to the world.
