Get the chance to meet your favorite Cartoon Network characters this weekend at the launch of a new safety awareness program, SAFE STEPS Kids. Everyone is invited to enjoy and learn about safety at the two-day event at Manila Ocean Park.
SAFE STEPS Kids is an upcoming Asia-exclusive series of public service announcements by Pru Life UK’s community investment arm, Prudence Foundation in collaboration with Cartoon Network, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and Philippine Red Cross. The series educates children on how to react to dangerous situations using well-loved characters from The Powerpuff Girls, We Bare Bears, and The Amazing World of Gumball.
“We want to emphasize the importance of safety, especially among kids who are more vulnerable to natural and man-made disasters and accidents,” says Marc Fancy, Executive Director, Prudence Foundation. “By doing this with our partners, we will be able to raise a resilient generation.”
Each video features life-threatening issues such as disasters, first aid, and road safety. During the event, parents and their kids can greet the characters up close, join games and activities at Townsville, and win exciting prizes. They can also watch SAFE STEPS Kids episodes before it premieres on Cartoon Network.
Pru Life UK, one of the leading life insurers in the Philippines, values protection, prevention, and postponement. The program, through initiative of Prudence Foundation, is aligned with its advocacies under We DO Safety. Watch the program and its informative content on Cartoon Network and on safestepskids.com. Materials will also be distributed to schools in the Philippines and within the region.
