Manila HealthTek offers low-cost COVID-19 home testing at P2,950 per person

Manila HealthTek (MTek), the country’s first and only biotech company in diagnostics which is behind the country’s own reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) swab testing kit, is offering an affordable and convenient option for COVID testing.

MTek offers RT-PCR home testing at 2,950 pesos per test, minimum of three persons. Results will be released 24-48 hours upon receipt of the swab samples.

Testings outside Metro Manila will also be accepted for a minimal charge.

Dr. Raul Destura, founder and CEO of MTek, shares that the lower-priced RT-PCR test option is the company’s contribution to the country’s fight against COVID. “We have to be very vigilant and make testing more accessible with the current surge of cases we are experiencing, even if vaccines are already available.”

Home testing is a means undertaken by Mtek to provide timely assessments for those unable to leave their homes or are scared to get out of their homes as symptoms are beginning to be felt.
