Launching his singing career quite belatedly, Curve Entertainment’s inspirational crooner Jeffrey Querubin, has been a working professional for a long while now. For him, there’s a right time for everything.
“I believe that God gave me the right moment to be an inspiration to a lot of people,” admits Jeffrey, who is a singer-songwriter. “Until now, we are still experiencing this pandemic. We need to be uplifted and be inspired. We need to see hope and light always.”
There is perhaps no better time than this pandemic for Jeffrey to release his inspirational songs. He recently unveiled his solo inspirational album, “Makakarating Din,” a ten-track musical outing bannered by the carrier track “Kapit Lang.” The song is nominated in this year’s Awit Awards for Best Inspirational Recording.
“I am just being blessed that despite of my busy schedule as a banker, I was able to manage and pursue my career in the music industry,” allows Jeffrey. “That has been the biggest grace and blessing I received during this pandemic.”
Music has been a part of Jeffrey’s life early on from the time he was part of the church choir when he was young. He was an active student in a public school in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, where he enjoyed performing during school activities and events.
Call it innate, but Jeffrey’s love for music and the arts has been apparently rubbed off to him by some of his family members and other relatives. Jeffrey discovered his talent in songwriting songs when he was still in high school up to his college years in Ilocos Sur.
Jeffrey took up BS Accountancy, with Master In Business Administration at the University of Northern Philippines in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. He has a background in Philosophy at Christ the King Mission Seminary in Quezon City, where he was a former seminarian. At present, he is an area head of Philippine National Bank in North Luzon.
“I want to be known as a singer-songwriter who is inspiring,” Jeffrey admits. “I am ready to inspire others through my life, through the songs I have written.”
The album comprises 10 songs of encouragement that can spark hope to all the listeners, especially this pandemic.
Recently, Jeffrey has released his version of the song “Lipad,“ which was originally done by Lea Salonga. He also wrote the Christmas song, “Sandal Lang sa Pasko” for Curve Entertainment’s holiday album “Ang Kulay ng Pasko.”
