Relive the onscreen chemistry of award-winning actor Piolo Pascual and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid as ABS-CBN Film Restoration premieres the digitally restored and remastered version of Star Cinema’s 2007 romantic-drama hit “Paano Kita Iibigin” this Tuesday (April 27) on the ongoing Sagip Pelikula Festival on KTX.PH.
With a story by Tammy Bejerano-Dinopol and John Paul Abellera, screenplay from Abellera, Vanessa Valdez, and Mel Mendoza-del Rosario, and the direction of Bb. Joyce Bernal, “Paano Kita Iibigin” was the first and only team-up of Piolo and Regine on the big screen.
The film features Regine as Martee, a single mother who unexpectedly gets terminated from her day job and forced out of her humble apartment. She takes her asthmatic son to Zambales for a vacation in a rundown resort owned by Lance (Piolo), an insensitive man deeply traumatized by a horrific accident involving his late fiancée.
Their lives become permanently connected as Martee becomes the resort manager. But they often find themselves clashing with one another. Despite this, the two find a connection, with Martee trying to help Lance move on from his haunting past.
It also stars Eugene Domingo, Hyubs Azarcon, Robin Da Roza, Iya Villania, Mark Bautista, Beth Tamayo, Erich Gonzales, Rhap Salazar, Quintin Alianza, among many others.
