Alternative rock band Point North has released the video for their latest single, “STITCH ME UP”. Shot on their current tour with A Day To Remember and Asking Alexandria, the video captures the band’s explosive and anthemic live show, along with the tongue-in-cheek humor that the trio exudes. Written and produced by lead singer Jon Lundin, “’STITCH ME UP’ is my metaphor for getting the lip service or being gaslit by the industry’s toxic, demanding nature. It expresses self-sacrifice and loss of personal integrity in order to bend to the industry’s needs.”
Lundin continues, “Being in a band and being a musician has been a dream of mine for over 20 years and now that I’m on the other side of the uphill battle, part of me questions if any of this was worth it at all. ‘What’s the point, I’m feeling so numb’ – there seems to be more downsides than upsides these days in a world where you have to please everyone. Is that what my younger self would have wanted? At the end of the day music is my life and my passion and it’s always going to be a labor of love, but how much of myself will be slowly chipped away the further I get…”
2020 saw the release of Point North’s debut album ‘Brand New Vision’. Self-produced by Jon Lundin and Point North, ‘Brand New Vision’ is the album Point North have waited their entire lives to release. Devoid of crazy metaphors or poetry, ‘Brand New Vision’ is human, honest, vulnerable, and aspirational. With their debut, Point North embraces an alternate reality that celebrates a break from predictability and normalcy for a world that is uncomfortable, a world that has meaning, a world in colour – a place to feel something.
