We’re leveling up! Upstream PH celebrates its 1st ANNIVERSARY with a bang!

The fun never stops with streaming platform UPSTREAM PH as they celebrate their 1st anniversary with new streaming content and new product offerings as an early Christmas treat
for its customers.

Upstream PH will continue to Level Up its upcoming offerings with its diverse content catalogue, Level Up its connection with the audience through promos and free screenings, and Level Up the customer experience through innovative technology partnerships.

During their anniversary presscon last November 10, Upstream PH head honchos Dondon Monteverde and Director Erik Matti shared milestones during the past year, their plans moving forward, and their upcoming promotions that will surely get everyone excited anytime, anywhere.

Coming off the success of his award-winning sequel “On The Job: The Missing 8” and now trending offbeat romance “A Girl +A Guy”, Director Erik Matti will be releasing a new Upstream Original, “Rabid” which he says was inspired by the myriad of emotions everyone experienced during the lockdown.

“We almost went crazy with last year’s lockdown. We made this film to capture that feeling of helplessness that bordered on insanity.”

“RABID” is a 4-episode creepy anthology that will start streaming on UPSTREAM PH on November 12. It also features a cast of rising stars and notable theater veterans being given the spotlight on the big screen like Ameera Johara, Ayeesha Cervantes, Brace Arquiza, Cheska Diaz, Donna Cariaga, Jake Macapagal, Jay Glorioso, Kent Gonzales, Pam Gonzales, Ricci Rivero, Ube Lola, Vance Larena and Ynigo Delen.

Other movies and series to watch out for, “Benedetta”, from independent film company A24, which will be released on Upstream.ph on November 17. Directed by Paul Verhoeven (Basic Instinct, Elle), “Benedetta” tells the true story of a nun who was said to have the gift of prophecy and received the stigmata but was punished by the church after being caught in a relationship with another nun.

A partnership with UK production powerhouse ALL3Media International brings viewers the documentary “Anti-Vax Conspiracy”, a very timely investigation about how anti-vaxxers are wittingly or unwittingly derailing global efforts to combat COVID-19. Viewers can also look forward to “Eiffel” from French producer Pathe,“The Green Knight” also from A24, and M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller “Old” from Universal Pictures.
Upstream PH also has its local offerings like the rom-com “Happy Times” starring Sharlene San Pedro, Ricci Rivero and Heaven Peralejo and directed by Ice Idanan, which will also be streamed in December.

Youtube hit pinoy BL Series “Quaranthings” is now part of the Upstream PH Family. The second season stars Royce Cabrera, Kyo Quijano, Karissa Toliongco and Gian Bernardino and is written and directed by Pancho Maniquis. It will stream starting November 26.

Globe Studios presents “ERO”, a series on teenage superheroes at a high school where they learn to deal with their superpowers as well as all the complications that teenage life brings.

Aside from the exciting content offerings, Upstream PH customers will receive a free movie voucher as a thank you gift from the platform, while super movie fans who have watched at least 3 movies or more will get 2 free movie vouchers, which they can use or give to a friend or loved one as a gift.

“Monday Movie Nights” will give everyone the ultimate Upstream PH experience where everyone can gather up and watch a preselected movie for free on 3 consecutive Mondays, starting November 29. And finally, Upstream PH will make the customer and viewer experience a whole lot easier. By December, Upstream will be available within the GCash app!
