With over 400 nominations from the Philippines’ most important business organizations, Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) was named Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Company of the Year by the ASIA CEO Awards last 11 October 2022, at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City. Among those who vied for the CSR Company of the Year Award are emerging and other industry giants such as IBM Philippines, Maybank Philippines, Cebuana Lhuillier, Megaworld Foundation, Shopee, and Bounty Agro Ventures, to name a few.
“Actually, for us, we call it Corporate Purpose Responsibility Programs. Because it’s more than just a social responsibility but a purpose for us — our why — the reason for our existence for the last 50 years,” said AMC People and Culture Director Edalyn Hadjula-Legarde as she received the award.
“We would like to thank the whole AMC organization, all workers and employees, from the shop floor to the top management, for making this possible. This a well-deserved award for all of us,” also said Atty. Angela Esquivel, AMC Corporate Affairs Director.
CSR Company of the Year Award is given to the impressive organization that achieved significant success in providing a social commitment to the Filipino people by promoting different awareness and development programs that are making gigantic contributions to the nation’s development.
“Cheers to our AlasKaunlaran Program, which cuts across all sectors in addressing national concerns in health, environment, livelihood, and food security. This award is truly a blessing as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. Tunay nga po, wala pa rin tatalo sa alagang Alaska,” Legarde added.
AMC was also named Circle of Excellence Awardee for the Sustainability Company of the Year for its achievements and initiatives to drive environmental progress and impact global sustainability.
