For three years now, alternative payments pioneer Dragonpay has consistently supported the global child-focused organization World Vision, in its annual Noche Buena Campaign. This is a food and gift-giving program that reaches out to Filipino children and their communities to experience the tradition of enjoying a meal together shared with family and friends on Christmas eve. By helping World Vision fund its operations, Dragonpay has benefitted over 1,200 households, an impact that they aim to amplify in the coming years.
“Dragonpay was founded on the principle of inclusivity – giving more people and businesses access to the benefits of alternative payment solutions. Supporting World Vision is also our way of enabling more vulnerable families and communities to feel the holiday spirit,” says Dragonpay Founder and CTO, Robertson Chiang.
Since 2006, World Vision has been implementing the Noche Buena Campaign, understanding that numerous communities are still struggling and recovering from the adverse effect of the pandemic. The gift-giving program hopes to spark hope and upliftment. This year, World Vision aims to give out 24,337 Noche Buena packs, a feat that’s only possible with the support of generous donors and sponsors like Dragonpay. Personal pledges are also encouraged. For every 1,000 cash donation, two children and there can also enjoy a meaningful Noche Buena meal.
“We at World Vision thank our partners like Dragonpay for making the Christmas celebration of our children and their families extra special. May God bless you as your company and your employees continue to help in achieving hope, joy, and justice for all children,” says Rommel V. Fuerte, National Director, World Vision Development Foundation, Inc.
