Chef and foodie Happy Ongpauco-Tiu is set to inspire more viewers to discover their own happy place in the lifestyle show fittingly dubbed “Happy Place,” which is set to air on Metro Channel every Saturday at 7 pm beginning February 12.

“I’m very proud of this show because not only will you learn a lot of new recipes and kitchen hacks but you will also get inspired with touching stories and life lessons that will help you find your Happy Place,” said the culinary master who comes from the clan behind the Barrio Fiesta chain of restaurants.

“Happy Place” chronicles Happy’s vibrant life as a businesswoman, a wife, and a mom of four boys to share what she considers her life’s essentials that make her and the people surrounding her joyful. She is joined by special persons in her life who will also talk about their respective ‘happy place’ and reveal their life stories that speak of gratefulness, which the TV host considers very important.

“It’s the start of all kinds of beautiful values. Like if you’re grateful, you’re kind. If you’re grateful, you’re loving. If you’re grateful, you’re forgiving. This is what will help us through in these trying times,” Happy explained.

In “Happy Place’s” first episode, she disclosed some kitchen hacks together with one of her longtime ‘angels,’ Maricel whom she fondly calls ‘Angga.’ The two will also demonstrate how to make one of Happy’s breakfast staples at home, Apple Beef Tapa.

Aside from managing her own restaurants such as Pamana, Tsokolateria, and Le Chon, Happy has also ventured into bespoke catering through her Private Dining venture. Last year, she introduced My Happy Home, a retail store featuring a wide collection of plates, cookware, and home decors.

Be inspired with Happy’s stories and discover more of her kitchen and life hacks in “Happy Place,” airing on Metro Channel every Saturday at 7 pm starting February 12. Metro Channel is available on SKYcable channel 52 (SD) and channel 174 (HD), Cignal channel 69, and GSAT channel 70. “Happy Place” episodes will also be available to stream on Metro.Style YouTube channel.
