Japanese brand Sunplay is taking your sunscreen routine to the next level

There’s one thing about sunscreens that people usually get wrong—skipping it when spending time indoors. Using sunscreen when going out makes perfect sense, but applying it when working from home or lounging around the house? It simply doesn’t click.

Here’s something to keep in mind: the sun’s skin-damaging UV rays can also penetrate dark clouds and glass windows. Working or sitting by a window at home already exposes the skin to UVA and UVB that can lead to premature aging, sunburn, and skin cancer. This isn’t the only threat we should be concerned of. The blue light from our laptop, phone, and TV can cause skin pigmentation and break down collagen.

While we can’t really avoid the sun or stop using our gadgets, we can give our skin a protective barrier and prevent damage by religiously wearing the right sunscreen every single day. Japanese brand Sunplay offers Skin Aqua, which includes products that can help us up our sunscreen game by combining skin-friendly ingredients into their formula. It’s a range of beauty sunscreens that are perfect for daily use, especially as part of a regular skincare routine as they’re also formulated to hydrate, brighten, and moisturize the skin.

There are three products under this range. First is the UV Watery Essence that offers UVA/UVB protection with SPF50 and PA++++ and enriched with hyaluronic acid, sunflower seed oil, and rosemary leaf extract to hydrate and moisturize skin and prevent moisture loss from daily sun exposure. It has an ultralight liquid formula that spreads easily and absorbs quickly for a lightweight non-greasy feel.

The other is the UV Watery Gel with UVA/UVB with SPF50 and PA++++ protection and hyaluronic acid and nine other moisturizing ingredients in a hydrating gel format that absorbs quickly into skin for a water-light weightless feel. Both sunscreens also have vitamin C to fight dark spots for visibly fair and radiant skin.

Finally, the Sarafit Tinted Base rounds out the Skin Aqua range. It protects the skin from UVA/UVB rays with SPF50, PA+++, and also offers blue light protection. It’s in natural light shade that helps brighten skin complexion and even out skin tone. It also contains concealer powder to help makeup products adhere better to the skin. This sunscreen also has a sheer finish that glides on easily and absorbs quickly for an invisible weightless feel. It’s also sweat-resistant and has quick dry formula, allowing sweat to easily evaporate so skin won’t feel sticky throughout the day.

Sunplay is also known for products that provide superior protection against UVA and UVB rays by offering the highest SPF and PA levels with a light texture, perfect for staying under the sun for long periods. These include Ultra Shield SPF130 Lotion, Ultra Shield SPF 130 Body Mist, and Water Kids SPF60 Lotion. All three have a distinct ‘Watery Liquid’ formulation that’s lightweight, non-greasy, and transparent on skin. They’re also fast absorbing and water resistant, ideal for long hours of water and outdoor activities.

Sunplay also has sunscreens that are especially developed for outdoor sport activities like the Sport SPF120 Lotion and Sport SPF120 Body Mist. Both boast of SPF 120 PA++++ for broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. They are water and sweat resistant up to 4 hours, and do not drip off on wet skin. These sunscreens also have a quick dry formula that feels matte, light, non-greasy, and leaves no white residue on the skin.

Whether you’re staying in or out, protecting your skin from all the harmful rays and topping off your skincare routine with the right Sunplay sunscreen for your activities is the no-skip beauty hack for keeping the skin healthy and well.
