Two women of substance comprise Curve Entertainment’s newest music releases for this month that are sure to capture the hearts, minds and ears of the listeners.
Making her debut is 18-year old Filipino-Canadian singer-songwriter and ramp-commercial model Iona Gibbs. Her first single, a soulful rendition of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” was born from her love of the original song, and her desire to reinvent the classics with a sound more tailored for the new generation. Highly inspired by OPM’s modern take on R&B, she wanted to incorporate the feel of current music while bringing back to life the songs that in spired her to pursue music in the first place.
The song will be made the official Philippine soundtrack of the upcoming GMA Asianovela se ries “My Forever Sunshine” which will start to air in July.
Likewise, former General Luna lead guitarist Caren Tevanny has released her new single enti tled “Deliverance,” her first in over a year. The emotionally-driven song, written by Caren her self and produced by Vince Lucero, is about pursuing your dreams no matter what and setting yourself free from fear and insecurity. “Even if people turn you down, even if you fall a thousand times, you will stand and will continue to focus on doing the best that you can,” Caren attests.
Iona Gibbs and Caren Tevanny. Two different personalities, two different genres. One passion for music. Both singles are now available for streaming and download in all digital platforms worldwide exclusively distributed by Curve Entertainment Inc.
