Filipino-British music artist Jon Guelas bares the “Hardest Thing” he had to do in a past relationship in his emotional single released under Tarsier Records.
The former “X Factor UK” contestant wrote “Hardest Thing” when he was at a crossroads in a relationship. The sentimental pop song explores the complicated emotions of wanting to be truthful despite possibly causing pain to someone special.
Jon said, “Sometimes it is so difficult to be honest with someone you’re with because you don’t want to hurt them. You still care but you’ve grown into different people, so how will you go about that?”
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo shared his impression of the song during his guesting on PIE Channel. He said, “Walang madaling way to leave someone, you have to face it. It’s going to be difficult, it’s going to be hurtful, and wala kang tamang masasabi dahil magiging painful lagi. Kaya tama ‘yung title ‘Hardest Thing,’ ang ganda ng song, congrats Jon.”
