KROMA Entertainment brings together a number of the country’s finest artists and creatives under one roof to bring world-class entertainment to Filipinos and global audiences.
“We know that the Philippines is home to so many talented musicians and artists, and it is our dream to bring them to the world stage. South Korea has done it, and other Asian superstars are hitting it big in music charts worldwide,” said Denise Seva, Head of KROMA’s LiveMNL and Music, which is home to music label Paradise Rising.
Paradise Rising is a partnership with 88Rising, the multinational music firm behind global superstars NIKI, Joji and Rich Brian, to name a few. It was created during the pandemic to amplify the voices of emerging Filipino artists to the rest of the world through tradigital means.
Two years since it was born, Paradise Rising has launched two artists: Fil-Am rapper Guapdad4000 and homegrown talent Ylona Garcia. Both are making waves in the international music scene, having performed at Head in the Clouds in 2021 at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, California to a sold-out crowd of 30,000 festival-goers.
Ylona also released “Entertain Me” to launch Neon, the first Pinoy agent of Riot Games’ Valorant. The song topped the charts worldwide with 45 million streams across multiple platforms in just two months after release. Following this, she has just come out with summertime slow jam “Vibin” featuring a catchy hook and Ylona’s crisp vocals.
“It’s such a privilege to use my voice to shed more light on Filipino musicians and tons like me all over the world. Paradise Rising is doing such an amazing job providing a platform to discover and develop our sound in the most authentic way possible, allowing us to bring our individual and collective uniqueness to the global stage, and this is just the beginning,” shared Ylona.
Paradise Rising has also produced two mixtapes, Semilucent 1 and 2, featuring talents from across the Filipino diaspora.
Another KROMA brand, NYMA, short for “Now, You Must Aspire,” not only hones promising young talent but also works with the best in the industry. This tradigital talent management agency and production house aims to represent content creators and celebrities who want to expand their digital brand in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia.
Run by Kat Bautista, the young brand is already building its talent roster.
“We’re working on new talent strategies for some of the country’s top celebrities. Our goal is to be the home of the best Filipino talents in the country and from all over the world,” said Bautista.
Among them are “Mayora” Frances Cabatuando, a digital creative and founder of the 3-million strong Home Buddies Facebook community, and the force behind growing Nobi Home on Instagram.
Joining her are artist-director turned TikTok rac-star Raco Ruiz, who is known for his nostalgic drawings and modern Pinoy, “Conyo” character skits, and certified quadruple threat (actress, singer, vlogger, and director) and 20-year showbiz veteran Kristel Fulgar.
The latest addition to NYMA’s growing roster is Asia’s Phoenix Morissette Amon, who said she aspires to “fly on to the world stage, and together with NYMA, soar to new heights.”
The whole KROMA group places a spotlight on creators, talent, and great content, fueled by its vision to become the leading tradigital entertainment player in the Philippines.
