The longest-running teen pageant in the world is in full swing right now and the Philippines is right in the middle of it.

Miss Teen International, which is owned and organized by India’s Glamanand Entertainment Group, is happening right and is attended by the most gorgeous and talented teen queens from different countries. The event started with a series of photo shoots and video shoots than a sashing ceremony where each candidate received their ‘official country sash.’

Senior high student Cielo Abarro is the Official Representative of the Philippines in the pageant. According to Miss Teen International Philippines (MTIP) National Director Charlotte Dianco, the 17-year-old teen did not hesitate when she received the appointment from the national organization.

“What I like about Cielo is that she is determined and focused. She listens and she prepared for the competition because she knows she has a big responsibility—she is carrying the name of the country in the pageant.”

Cielo, who grew up in Riyadh with her parents who are both overseas Filipino workers, is a neophyte in the world of pageantry but she has the heart and mindset of an athlete. She is a volleyball player who is used to long training hours. This is why the national organization in the Philippines is confident about Cielo’s journey.

Aside from New Delhi, the candidates will visit the famous Taj Mahal and have activities in Jaipur.
