Packworks, in partnership with Hapinoy and Unilever, celebrated all the ‘nanaypreneurs’ across the country for all their hard work and dedication during the Nanay Day event held last May 8.
Four special awards were given to all the participating nanaypreneurs who continue to patronize Packwork’s Sari-Superstore App – an all-in-one mobile application where sari-sari store owners can easily track their inventory, compute their earnings, and connect with other sari-sari stores registered in the network.
“We thank you for all the time you spent using the Sari-Superstore app. We made this for you because we believe you are the true foundation of local communities, especially during the time of the pandemic. We are just getting started. We will make sure you are the star, because we know that you are the best entrepreneurs out there because you know the customers you are serving,” said Bing Tan, CEO and founder of Packworks.
The four special awards were given to 200 participating nanaypreneurs out of a network of almost 150,000 sari-sari stores. These awards were the Masigla Award, Maalaga Award, Masigasig Award, and the Matapat Award. The recognition aims to celebrate the dedication these nanaypreneurs have devoted to making their small business grow and helping their local communities in their own special way.
The Masigla Award was given to those who had the highest number of transactions in the Sari-Superstore app, while the Maalaga Award was offered to those who had the highest number of sari-sari stores registered within the network.
The Masigasig Award was extended to those who had the longest app usage, meanwhile the Matapat Award was given to those who remained loyal to Packworks and the Sari-Superstore app.
Local celebrities also gave special shoutouts to all the nanaypreneurs, such as rock band RiverMaya, Karen Bordador, and singer-performers Christian Bautista, Ogie Alcasid, Gary V and vlogger Jako de Leon.
