In celebration of Araw ng Pasig, the Pasig City local government partners with the leading online job portal JobStreet to launch their Mega Job Fair happening on July 2, Saturday, at the Pasig Sports Complex.
The Mega Job Fair is the city’s first attempt at doing a face-to-face career fair since the pandemic, offering approximately 250 jobs from as many as 50 hirers.
Forty of which are private entities based in Pasig and 10 of which are overseas recruitment agencies provided by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA). The hirers will come from various industries such as Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), small and medium enterprise, and many more.
This initiative is in line with Pasig and JobStreet’s goal of empowering Pasigueños through good employment opportunities from fellow Pasig-based employers. JobStreet also aims to highlight its unwavering commitment to supporting government efforts in providing jobs that matter to every Filipino.
JobStreet and Pasig LGU will kickstart the event with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the morning. Furthermore, on-the-spot interviews will be conducted by several hirers at the career fair. Candidates are encouraged to prepare copies of their printed resume, be in their best attire, and adhere to safety and health protocols.
“As the economy slowly recovers from the pandemic, it’s about time that face-to-face career fairs make a grand comeback. We want to highlight the ability of our candidates to move forward and face labor climate changes head-on,” shared JobStreet Philippines Country Manager Phillip Gioca. “This initiative would not have been possible without our partnership with the local government of Pasig. We are beyond grateful for their trust and shared commitment to helping our dear jobseekers navigate their job-hunting journey, whether it be in an online or offline setup.”
To register for the Araw ng Pasig Mega Job Fair, candidates need fill out the form provided outside the venue. The form will serve as their ticket to enter the Mega Job Fair. Submit the form at the registration, and jobseekers are free to apply.
