Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines Inc. (PCPPI)—the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the country—achieved complete certification of all its plants across the country. This is after its largest plant in Muntinlupa was recently awarded the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Safety Seal Certification.
This completes all PCPPI plants to the certification program. It affirms that all its plants are compliant with the base public health standards set by the government. They also comply with the General Labor Standards and Occupational Safety and Health Standards of DOLE.
The other PCPPI plants that secured the Safety Seal earlier this year are Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Sto. Tomas, Tanauan, Pampanga, and Bacolod plants.
PCPPI was also recognized for its strict compliance with COVID-19 health and safety standards. These include wearing face masks, availability of handwashing stations and screening or triage areas, and social distancing, among others.
PCCPI president and CEO Frederick D. Ong said the issuance of safety seal certification to all its plants signifies the company’s uncompromising commitment to the health and safety of its employees and business partners.
“We take the health and safety of our people seriously. This is the reason we have consistently aimed for a full Safety Seal certification. We want to prove to our stakeholders that we are a responsible company. This also forms part of our goal to become the leading beverage company in the country,” said Ong.
PCPPI manufactures and sells well-known brands such as Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, 7-Up, Mirinda, Mug, Gatorade, Tropicana, Lipton, and Premier.
