Filipino-made snack Piattos recently bagged the Digital Popular Award 2022 under the potato snacks category in Indonesia.

The award was presented by Infobrand.id, in collaboration with Tras n Co and IMFocus as its research partner, on September 29, 2022. A research was conducted on more than 1,000 brands from 150 product categories and services. The recipients were awarded based on three parameters: 40% search engine-based, 40% social media-based, and 20% website-based.

Piattos scored 30.76% in the potato snacks category, surpassing other well-known potato snacks in Indonesia, to win the Digital Popular Award.

Universal Robina Corporation’s (URC) Piattos is one of the leading snack brands in the Philippines. It was first launched in the Philippines in 1989 under the Jack ‘n Jill megabrand. It has since become one of the manufacturer’s popular snack brands with its distinct hexagonal shape and flavor variants, such as Cheese, Sour Cream and Onion, Roadhouse Barbeque, Roast Beef, Nacho Pizza, Classic Salted, and the newly released Spicy Cheese.

As URC expanded in other Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, more people got to enjoy Piattos and a host of other snacks in their day-to-day lives, so much so that its core brands have gained top honors in their respective categories.

“We are committed to delight everyone with good food choices, a goal aligned with URC’s purpose, as well as to continue bringing our products closer to our consumers,” said country general manager Taufiq Basthami.
