realme, the PH’s no. 1 smartphone brand for 2021 (based on Canalys and IDC sell-in reports for Q1-Q4 2021), is set to launch its latest Number Series line-up: the realme 9 Pro Series, this coming March 15. Designed to empower Filipinos to #CaptureTheLight like a Pro, the realme 9 Pro Series consists of two innovative smartphones that take flagship-level features to the midrange segment.
The realme 9 Pro+ is the brand’s latest photography powerhouse as it packs the industry-leading Sony IMX766 flagship sensor, along with a roster of impressive features such as the MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G Processor, a 90Hz Super AMOLED Display, and a 4500mAh Battery with 60W SuperDart Charge.
The realme 9 Pro, on the other hand, is another 5G-capable photography powerhouse that boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor, a 64MP Nightscape Camera, and a 120Hz Ultra Smooth Display, among many other notable features.
“We know how passionate consumers are when it comes to mobile photography so we wanted to bring the best in camera technology within the midrange segment. With this in mind, realme designed its newest Number Series smartphones to cater to content creators and photography enthusiasts and professional photographers, so they may hone their craft and expand their creativity when taking pro-level content,” shares Austine Huang, realme Philippines’ VP for Marketing. “We can’t wait for our Filipino Squad to #CaptureTheLight like a Pro with the realme 9 Pro Series,” adds Huang.
Elevating photography with the flagship-level camera capabilities
Low-light photography is a key area that realme focused on with its most advanced Number Series smartphone. Coming from the success of last year’s 108MP-equipped realme 8 Pro, the brand set out to create a camera feature that captures excellent photos in low-light, while staying within a mid-range price point. This is why the brand introduced Pro-Light Imaging Technology for the realme 9 Pro+.
This handy feature brings both software and hardware working together to address the most crucial considerations when taking low-light photos: camera sensor size, lighting conditions, and stability. With the 50MP Sony IMX 766 rear camera of the realme 9 Pro+, the device is able to capture more light thus translating to better photos even in the least ideal locations. In addition, the realme 9 Pro+ also comes with a Dual Stabilization System that comprises Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) to make sure shots turn out well despite shaky or unpredictable movements. Lastly, to further enhance images taken by the realme 9 Pro+, the integration of AI Noise Reduction Engine 3.0 is also applied to every image taken with the main camera.
Meanwhile, the realme 9 Pro is equally capable of producing sharp and vivid photos as it packs a 64MP Nightscape Camera that has been fine-tuned to capture high resolution snaps in various lighting conditions.
Both the realme 9 Pro+ and the realme 9 Pro are also integrated with the Street Photography 2.0, which has the addition of Smart Long Exposure feature which makes taking long-exposure shots hassle-free with various creative modes. Other features that have been in this functionality include a new 90’s Pop Filter that evokes vintage hues from photos in the 90’s, and Peak and Zoom that gives more control over your creations when shooting on the streets.
Exploring the powerful possibilities of 5G
Another feature that the Squad can look forward to in the realme 9 Pro Series is its 5G-ready capabilities. The realme 9 Pro+ runs on the Mediatek Dimensity 920, a power-efficient 6nm octa-core processor that enables flagship level performance and Dual-5G connectivity. The realme 9 Pro is no slouch either as it packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor under its hood.
With these powerful chipsets, overheating is not a problem with both the realme 9 Pro+ and the realme 9 Pro as cooling systems are also in place to ensure optimal temperatures for better battery health.
In addition to these features, the realme 9 Pro Series also comes with Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) technology that allows the device to use up to 5GB of the phone’s internal storage as virtual RAM to enable smoother multi-tasking especially when running heavy apps.
Pushing the boundaries of product design
Another top-notch innovation present in the realme 9 Pro Series is its Light Shift Design. Developed by the realme Design Studio, the Sunrise Blue variant of both the realme 9 Pro+ and the realme 9 Pro makes use of three photochromic layers that allows it to change colors from blue to red hues when exposed to direct sunlight. To top it off, the brand went with the addition of a dazzling hybrid stardust layering as a finish on the back of the phone to give it the iridescent shimmer.
The realme 9 Pro+ and the realme 9 Pro also come in an Aurora Green colorway for those who prefer a dark and sleek panel.
The realme 9 Pro Series will be launched via livestream event on March 15, 6PM, on the realme Philippines Facebook page.
