Jollibee Group’s aggressive expansion in North America continues to reach a milestone after officially launching its very first Red Ribbon Bakeshop with a drive-thru service in the US. The new store, which opened on Saturday, March 5 at 13421 Westheimer Road, Unit G, Houston, Texas 77082, also marks the brand’s second bakeshop in Houston and 36th in the whole of US.
“We’re so excited to make our delicious baked goods more accessible to the Westheimer community through the opening of our first-ever drive-through amenity,” said Agnes Briones, Business Unit Head, Red Ribbon Bakeshop, Inc. “We look forward to bringing this added convenience to both our fans and newcomers to our brand who are curious to try our signature cakes, pastries and other baked treats that make Red Ribbon so special and unique.”
With this new amenity providing a quick and seamless experience for customers on the go, Red Ribbon fans and newcomers near the location drove to the newly opened bakeshop to satisfy their craving for sweet and savory baked goods. Its first drive-thru customers arrived in the afternoon and peaking in the evening, just before the store closed as customers likely picked up some post-dinner desserts.
In addition to the drive-thru service, the new Westheimer store also features a café-style setup for customers who want to enjoy their bakery treats with friends and family through in-store dining. The store also accepts orders for off-premise dining through the Red Ribbon ordering app (available on App Store and Google Play), website (redriboonbakeshop.us), and DoorDash.
Some of the brand’s bestsellers in the US include the Mango Supreme Cake, Ube Overload Cake, Yema Caramel Cake, Butter Mamon, among others—all of which capture the brand’s unique cultural heritage and culinary roots.
Founded in the Philippines in 1979, Red Ribbon was fully acquired by the Jollibee Foods Corporation in 2005. Its sweet success story began with a single mission: to create delicious and beautiful cakes that make every family celebration truly special. Since then, the bakery brand has expanded its offerings to include both single-serve dessert items and an array of sweet and savory pastry treats intended for everyday snacking.
To date, Red Ribbon has over 500 outlets all over the Philippines and more than 30 stores in U.S.
