The excellent performance of its locally and globally invested mutual funds led Sun Life Asset Management Company, Inc. (SLAMCI) to bag a total of 19 awards, besting competitors in eleven categories at the 14th Philippine Investment Fund Association (PIFA) Awards.

SLAMCI dominated the Foreign Currency Balanced Funds with the Sun Life Prosperity Dollar Advantage Fund topping the 1-year, 3-year, 5-year, and 10-year categories. The Sun Life Prosperity Dollar Wellspring Fund placed 2nd in the 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year categories. For Peso denominated Balanced Funds, SLAMCI’s Sun Life Prosperity Dynamic placed first in the 1-year category.

Meanwhile, in Foreign Currency Equity Funds, the Sun Life Prosperity World Voyager Fund bested others in the 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year categories. For Peso denominated Equity Funds, the Sun Life Prosperity Philippine Equity Fund placed 3rd in the 10-year category.

Three awards each were garnered in the Peso denominated Money Market and Index Funds, with the Sun Life Prosperity Peso Starter Fund sweeping the 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year categories, and the Sun Life Prosperity Stock Index Fund placing 2nd in the 1-year and 3-year categories then 3rd in the 5-year category.

“It is truly special to be one of the industry’s most awarded investment companies, especially given the challenges in the market over the past years and the forward-looking opportunities that have yet to be seen,” SLAMCI President Gerald Bautista said. “As always, we manage our funds with our clients in mind, and this has prompted us to ensure the best possible yields for their investments. We thank them for the inspiration and support, and we look forward to continuously being their partner to prosperity.”

SLAMCI is celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year. In July 2022, it reached a milestone of becoming the largest asset management company in the country.
