While people are busy shopping during the Yuletide, The Bistro Group is opening new restaurants at the Mall of Asia to serve customers during the Holiday rush.

The Mall of Asia, for one, is now home to four (4) new restaurants: Bulgogi Brothers, Italianni’s, Modern Shang, and Watami. Guests will surely be spoiled for choice having all these proximate to each other. There’s no need to go mall hopping to satisfy different cravings.

Guests can cross-order from Italianni’s, Modern Shang, and Watami.

From South Korea comes Bulgogi Brothers, a favorite among K-pop-loving diners since it opened in Manila in 2011. It serves authentic Korean cuisine and bulgogi-marinated barbecue meats, stews, noodles, rice dishes, and an array of delicious side dishes amidst a casual and welcoming ambiance with contemporary interiors.

This Season, it would be best to try their new Seoul-Tide Season dishes: Nami KBBQ Platter, Jeju Jokbal, Seoul-style Bulgogi, Gangnam Grilled Mackerel, and Incheon Chicken. All are meant for sharing and eaten family stye for an even merrier celebration.

Over at Italianni’s, American-Italian cuisine takes center stage, as usual. Its 100-seater Mall of Asia branch serves all your favorite dishes from appetizers, salads, pasta, pizzas, mains, and deserts.

For the Holidays, recommended are these new dishes: Honey Crisp Apple Salad (mixed greens, Kale, apple, feta cheese, honey mustard) and Grilled Pear Salad (Mixed Greens grilled pears and a Honey balsamic)and Grilled Pear Salad (Mixed Greens grilled pears and a Honey Mustard dressing), Braised Beef Osso Bucco Platter (braised low and slow in tomato and mirepox until fork tender); Braised Beef Osso Bucco Spaghetti; Halibut Al Cartoccio (oven-roasted with potatoes bell pepper, zucchini, olives, capers, eggplant and seafood broth) and Blueberry Mango Cheesecake (classic New York Cheesecake topped with blueberry and mango puree).

These new dishes make Christmas dining more memorable. It’s just as we, Filipinos, love to do- share and bond over food with family and friends, whatever the season.

Meanwhile, at Modern Shang, Special Christmas dishes are Braisde Pork Knuckle and Braised Pork Belly.

Rich, savory and hard to forget, just like Christmas memories, is Modern Shang’s Holiday special Braise Pork Knuckle. Cooked low and slow in a sweet and savory sauce, this popular Chinese dish is well-loved by Filipinos all over because of its melt-in-your-mouth texture that is so flavorful.

Another Yuletide dish is the Braised Pork Belly with spring onion, red yeast rice and ginger. Like the Pork Knuckle, is cooked until the belly is tender and infused with yummy flavors.

Signature dishes are also great additions to Holiday celebrations such as their Signature dishes – Xiao Long Bao, Steamed Hakaw Shrimp Dumpling, Roasted Crispy Pork, Wok-Fried Beef with Broccoli, Orange Chicken, Deep Fried Squid and Birthday Noodles.

Also, join the New Year’s countdown at Modern Shang and welcome 2023 with your loved ones (P750 per person consumable on food and drinks).

Chef Masaaki Ishikawa (Chef Masa) brings to Watami his take on flavorful and classic Japanese cuisine steeped in Japanese culture and history. This amiable culinary expert has over 30 years of experience gained from working in his own restaurants and from various stints in some of Manila’s top-rated hotels.

His latest creations include Atlantic Black Cod; Flame-grilled Beef Tenderloin with Wasabi Sesame Sauce; Smoked Duck Breast; Deep-Fried Japanese Oysters; Thinly-sliced Pork Hotpot with Tonkotsu Soup and Steamed Scallops and Wakame with Vinegary Miso Soup. These are great choices if you want to ‘turn’ Japanese this Christmas Season.

Watami has a wide variety of Japanese favorites such as assorted sushi, aburi, tempura, ramen and more.
