Coming from the historic championship of the UP Fighting Maroons in the recently concluded UAAP Men’s Basketball, UAAP Season 84 gears up for another much-awaited event that will surely be a visual spectacle of school spirit soaring high and chanting loudly amidst an excited crowd – the UAAP Cheerdance Competition, happening this Sunday, May 22 at 4PM at the Mall of Asia Arena. The much-awaited one-day event of the UAAP will be aired live on TV5, UAAP Varsity Channel, Cignal Play, Smart Giga Play, and for international fans via iWantTFC.

The UAAP Season 84’s Cheerdance Competition will open with the performance of the Ateneo Blue Eagles, formerly known as the Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion, followed by the NU Pep Squad, who will be defending their title from Season 82. The UP Pep Squad will perform third, followed by two-time winner & UAAP Season 82 second placer FEU Cheering Squad as the fourth performer. 2017 champion Adamson PEP squad will dance fifth, with the DLSU Animo Squad performing sixth and the UE Pep Squad coming seventh with eight-time winner UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe closing the festivities.

Both the UP PEP Squad and UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe hold the most UAAP Cheerdance championship with eight wins, but it is the NU PEP Squad that has been the most dominant as it won six titles from 2013 to 2019.
