The colors of Pride were on the spotlight at Accenture Philippines’ Pride Means More Leadership panel session at the PFIP annual summit. Panel participants later on interpreted Pride Means More theme through images in a creativity segment as part of the panel program.

As a leader in the information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) industry, Accenture Philippines is committed to providing an inclusive and diverse work environment to enable its people to thrive.

Accenture Philippines participated in the annual Philippine Financial and Inter-Industry Pride (PFIP) Summit, joining fellow leaders in championing workplace inclusion for the LGBTIQ+ community. In line with the theme, “Hiraya: Realizing our Hopes, Dreams, and Aspirations for the LGBTIQ+ Advocacy,” Accenture Philippines’ executives led by Ryan Tan, Chief Financial Officer; Pinay Villegas, Global Service Delivery Lead for Software & Platforms; and Ted Chan, Talent Strategy Lead for Culture and Inclusion & Diversity, shared in a panel discussion how inclusive leadership and allyship programs and practices can empower employees regardless of age, ability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity or expression, religion or sexual orientation. Inspired by Accenture Philippines’ Pride Month celebration artworks, panel participants also flexed their creativity as they interpreted ‘Pride Means More’ theme visually with the help of an image generator application that utilizes text prompts and descriptions to create images.

Accenture Philippines Country Managing Director and Technology Lead Ambe Tierro received the Manuel Agcaoili Employer of the Year for the Large Company Category during the Apolinario Mabini Awards by the Philippine Foundation for Rehabilitation of the Disabled held at the Malacańang Palace. Accenture Philippines was recognized for its efforts to empower persons with disabilities in the company.

Meanwhile, Accenture Philippines received the Manuel Agcaoili Employer of the Year Award for the Large Company Category for its initiatives in empowering its persons with disabilities community and valuable contribution in pushing for equal opportunities for persons with disabilities in the country during the Apolinario Mabini Awarding ceremony organized by the Philippine Foundation for Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Inc. (PFRD) in Malacańang.

We have included a quote below from Ms. Ambe Tierro, Country Managing Director and Technology Lead of Accenture in the Philippines, for your consideration.

“For Accenture in the Philippines, our talent is a force that can create change and drive innovation – regardless of their age, ability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity or expression, religion or sexual orientation. We believe that an inclusive, diverse and equal work environment for our people will not only empower them to thrive but it will also inspire them to innovate through the work that they do. Through our partnerships with industry organizations like the Philippine Financial and Inter-Industry Pride, we are committed to be allies of our LGBTIQ+ community.”

“We remain equally committed to our people with disabilities and steadfast in our continuing efforts to enable them with programs such as our Accessibility Center that provides various assistive technologies and equipment for our people, among other initiatives. And that is why receiving the recent Manuel Agcaoili Employer of the Year (Large Company Category) Award from the Philippine Foundation for Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Inc. brings us great pride and inspires us to continue to bring value to our communities.”
