Now guests flying with AirAsia Philippines can order Guilt-Free Sisig, a healthier plant-based alternative to the Filipino favorite.

AirAsia Philippines rolls out a healthier, plant-based alternative to its Filipino favorite Sisig Meal for guests flying with the airline.

Offering a twist from the usual meat Filipinos are familiar with, the airline enables Filipinos to fly healthy with the Guilt-Free Sisig which is perfect for vegetarians and passengers looking for a healthier version of the top-selling dish.

“At AirAsia, our mission to enable everyone to fly goes beyond the skies – it’s about making every journey as welcome and accommodating for all our guests, including those looking for a healthier lifestyle change or with restricted diets. With the introduction of AirAsia Philippines’ first plant-based meal, we celebrate the diversity of our guests and ensure that each passenger, whether vegetarian or those aiming to be more health-conscious, can savor the experience of flying with AirAsia.” AirAsia Country Head for Communications and Public Affairs and Spokesperson Steve Dailisan explained.

To bring the Guilt-Free Sisig to life, AirAsia Philippines partnered with Green Rebel, an Indonesian-based food tech start-up. According to the brand, Green Rebel’s offerings are clean-labeled and made with natural and non-GMO ingredients and specifically made to mimic the taste and feel of uniquely Asian cuisine.

The move by AirAsia Philippines to introduce plant-based in-flight meals is part of a wider effort to bring healthier food options to the airline’s passengers across different AOCs, including Malaysia, Thailand, and more.

AirAsia’s Guilt-Free Sisig is available to all passengers for only PHP 190.00 if pre-booked and P 250.00 if ordered onboard. Guests are encouraged to book in-flight meals and refreshments, as well as other flight add-ons at least 24 hours prior to departure.

Stay updated with the latest travel advisories, guidelines, and booking options through the airasia Superapp, its official website (www.airasia.com) and social media channels. Guests are also reminded to comply with the respective government regulations and travel requirements to ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey.
