Angat Buhay received the prestigious Philippine National Council for NGO Accreditation (PCNC) last August 30, exceeding the quality standards and requirements expected of an NGO. This important milestone and achievement was attained just one year after it was formally launched in July 2022.

This recognition is a testament of Angat Buhay’s deep commitment to good governance, effective management, transparency, and accountability – a feat that has been acknowledged by both the government and numerous donor agencies.

In a Facebook post, Angat Buhay’s Executive Director Raffy Magno expressed his gratitude to the people behind the foundation, and assured that the accreditation will help streamline and organize their internal systems and processes.

“Mahirap-hirap ang proseso na pinagdaanan ng Angat Buhay para makuha ito. Pero sobrang sulit dahil naging tulay ang accreditation na ‘to para patuloy nating ma-improve ang systems at processes ng ating NGO (The process that Angat Buhay went through to achieve this was very challenging. However, it was extremely worthwhile because this accreditation has become a bridge for us to continuously improve the systems and processes of our NGO),” he expressed.

The PCNC accreditation offers volunteers across the country more things to look forward to.

It can be recalled that upon its inception, Angat Buhay earnestly sought to uphold the Filipino spirit of “bayanihan” following Atty. Leni Robredo‘s groundbreaking 2022 Presidential Campaign. With a community-centric vision in mind, the proponents decided to open a platform for continued volunteerism with marginalized Filipinos at the receiving end.

The PCNC-accredited NGO continues to forward their advocacies on public education, public health, disaster relief and rehabilitation, and community engagement and empowerment.

‘Patuloy ang pagbabayanihan.’ Angat Buhay expresses gratitude in an announcement through their official Facebook page.

With almost 200 communities and thousands of individuals as project beneficiaries in 2022, Angat Buhay is filled with renewed enthusiasm to sustain their efforts. Interested donors may refer to the details below for the available donation channels or send email to [email protected] and get in touch with the team.

Angat Buhay is also accepting donations outside of the country, where they may contribute through give2asia.org/angatpinas.

One hundred percent of contributions will be utilized and allocated for Angat Buhay’s projects because donations are exempted from donor’s tax.

Angat Buhay’s PCNC accreditation gives access to local and international funding, asserts their legitimacy as a recognized NGO, and signals their eligibility to register as a BIR donee institution.

PCNC, the government’s duly designated Accrediting Entity, is a private, non-stock, nonprofit organization that ensures the compliance of NGOs to established local requirements and standards on good governance and management.
