Century Tuna and COMCO Southeast Asia are the only brand and PR agency from the Philippines that are shortlisted in the highly acclaimed International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO) Global Awards 2023.
The environment preservation project, “Saving Our Seas” clinched the nomination for Best Purpose Campaign in the ICCO Global Awards 2023. COMCO Southeast Asia, the New PR and Smart Social arm of global award-winning communications group COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises, is the official PR and Communications partner of the leading canned tuna product in the Philippines – Century Tuna for the project.

Its annual awards programme – ICCO Global Awards recognizes excellence and effectiveness of public relations work around the world.
Embracing its responsibility to help protect the environment, Century Tuna’s “Saving Our Seas” campaign championed its advocacy to further mitigate the problems of plastic pollution in the marine biodiversity of the Philippines.
In collaboration with Generation Hope for the Aling Tindera Waste-to-Cash program, Century Tuna and COMCO SEA reinforced through the “Saving Our Seas” Campaign the idea of Plastic Singular Economy to aid the community of Anilao in Mabini, Batangas – Philippines’ “Center of the Center of Marine Biodiversity” and the birthplace of scuba diving in the country.
Addressing the pressing issue of plastic pollution, the “Saving Our Seas” Campaign became biggest reef and coastal clean-up in the history of Mabini, Batangas. The meaningful environment protection campaign also included executions such as the celebration of Earth Hour, community visit and engagement and other sustaining activities.
The ICCO Awards 2023 awarding ceremony will take place on November 29, 2023 at The Waldorf Hotel in London, United Kingdom.
