OKBet representatives spread joy in Barangay Quirecada in Tondo, Manila.Handing over 300 gift baskets and 300 loot bags filled with toys to local tricycle drivers and their families, OKBet showed that even the smallest acts of kindness could make a big difference in people’s lives.

Local sportsbook and e-games platform OKBet recently held an outreach program in Barangay Quirecada in Tondo, Manila, distributing 300 gift baskets to two Tricycle Operators and Drivers’ Associations, or TODAs, that operate in the barangay, namely Yaquitoda and Hertoda.

Recipients in barangay also received 300 loot bags for their children, containing toys donated by OKBet employees, as part of the company’s “Every Toy Has A Spirit Of Joy” drive.

City Councilor Darwin Sia graced the outreach event, together with Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau chief Dennis Viaje. Sia represented Manila City Mayor Honey Lacuna, “Maraming salamat po sa OKBet, sa biyaya na inabot ninyo dito sa amin sa Tondo,” [We’d like to thank OKBet management for your generous blessing to some of our residents here at Tondo], said Sia.

Collab for social change

Pebbles Muñiz, the corporate social responsibility program manager of OKBet, was in attendance and expressed her gratitude to the city government for its support in making the event a success. Muñiz highlighted the importance of collaboration between private organizations and local governments for positive social change.

“Mula sa aming mga pinuno at mga empleyado na bumubuo sa OKBet, kami po ay taos-pusong nagpapasalamat sa city government of Manila, lalo na po sa inyong mahal na Mayor, Mayora Honey Lacuna, sa oportunidad na makapagbahagi kami ng [tulong] sa mga mamamayan ng Tondo,” [We at OKBet would like to express our immense gratitude to the city government of Manila and Mayor Honey Lacuna for giving us the opportunity to lend a helping hand to the people of Tondo] declared Muniz.
