When The Voice Kids Season 5 hopeful Giani Sarita was still a toddler, he started humming not just children’s melodies or pop songs, but surprisingly, Mozart and Vivaldi arias. He joined his mom and dad in the church choir as early as two years old and readily competed in The Vocal Fusion singing contest in Papua New Guinea (PNG), where his dad works as an OFW and where they transferred from Cebu.

“I didn’t know I was competing back then,” Giani admitted. “I just like making people happy whenever I sing.”

When Giani was younger, he dreamed of becoming a pilot. However, after he watched The Greatest Showman, with Hugh Jackman, and saw Cats in Broadway (New York), Giani got more inspired to pursue music. His dream got more intense after he watched The Lion King. “I wanted to become the Young Simba and maybe someday, have more roles in theater,” Giani wished.

He was recently signed up by Curve Entertainment to a recording contract and Giani cannot be much happier. He recently released his debut single, Ituloy Mo Lang, penned by Jessa Mae Gabon.

“I am very happy that even if I didn’t make it in The Voice Kids, someone believed in me and my music,” Giani said. He considers it an honor and one of the best experiences he ever had in his young career. “To be able to stand and perform for the coaches of The Voice Kids and the public was really an experience,” Giani allowed.

Giani loves crooning jazz, pop rock and even the classics like La Vie En Rose (English version), Fly Me To The Moon, Believer, Grenade and OPM songs like Limang Dipang Tao and Tatsulok.

Now that Giani is a recording artist with his first single released in streaming platforms, he is looking forward to having his debut album within the year. “I would love to finish the album and keep on inspiring others through my music,” Giani said. “I hope someday to collaborate with other great artists. I would love to perform live in different places and reach as many people as I can.”
