The Human Settlements Adjudication Commission (HSAC) signed a memorandum of agreement with the Bacoor City Government to open its first satellite office for a Regional Adjudication Branch on Tuesday, 20 June 2023.
The first satellite office shall cater to Regional Adjudication Branch No. IV-A (RAB IV-A) clients and will be situated at 2F NAC Building, Bacoor City Government Center, Bacoor Boulevard, Brgy. Bayanan, Bacoor City, Cavite.
Litigants whose cases are within the jurisdiction of RAB IV-A will no longer need to travel all the way to Calamba, Laguna since all the services provided in the main office will be available in the satellite office except for the storage of dockets.
“Ikinatutuwa po namin na magkaroon ng tanggapan ang Human Settlements Adjudication Commission dito sa Bacoor para sa pagbilis ng serbisyo para sa ating mga mamamayan (We are happy to have an HSAC satellite office here in the City of Bacoor to make services more accessible for our residents.),” said Bacoor City Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista-Mendiola who represented Mayor Strike Revilla in the signing ceremony.
HSAC Executive Commissioner Melzar P. Galicia was also grateful for the support of Mayor Strike Revilla and other Bacoor City Officials. Through collaborative efforts, a better and more efficient public service will be provided.
Also present at the event were HSAC Commissioners Sergio E. Yap II and Michael P. Cloribel, Bacoor City Government officials, and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Region 4A officials and employees.
DHSUD Region 4A Public Housing and Settlements Division Officer-in-Charge Joshua Lorenzo Layog conveyed congratulations for the new satellite office and affirmed the department’s commitment to working with the HSAC in assuring Filipinos of decent, safe, yet affordable homes.
The HSAC a new quasi-judicial agency created under RA 11201, commits to provide just and speedy resolution of cases concerning real estate developments and homeowners associations disputes and appeals from the decisions of local and regional planning and zoning bodies.
With this initiative, the HSAC hopes to address the challenges faced by litigants due to the limited number of HSAC Offices in the Regions. It also sets a promising precedent for future satellite offices, as it strives to bring its services closer to every Filipino.
