Wizards of the Coast will be releasing The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth™, the latest set and biggest collaboration to date for the world’s best trading card game, Magic: The Gathering (MTG). Many of the characters, places, and story moments, known and well-loved, have been expertly reimagined for the Magic universe through both art and gameplay mechanics. The set will be released on tabletop on 23 June 2023 with more opportunities than ever to play for both new and experienced players.
The new set is the perfect entry point to MTG for new players, as beloved Middle-earth characters they know and trust will aid them on their journey. The set includes a themed Starter Kit, allowing new players to relive their favorite moments from the popular franchise, all while learning the world’s greatest trading card game. The kit includes two decks legal in Modern, basic learning materials, and tokens.
