Prime Video announced today that the suspense thriller series The Killing Vote, broadcasted by SBS and produced by Pan Entertainment and Studio S, will be available on Prime Video in the Philippines and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide starting Thursday, August 10. The first two episodes of this 12-part series will land on the debut day, with one weekly episode to follow every Thursday.
The Killing Vote is based on the popular webtoon of the same name, which explores the meaning of justice and features a nationwide death penalty vote against vicious criminals. The story highlights a mysterious figure who carries out the death penalty according to the results of the vote, and the police who are pursuing them.
The main cast stars Park Hae-jin, Park Sung-woong, and Lim Ji-yeon. Park Hae-jin, who most recently starred in From Now On, Showtime! and Kkondae Intern, will act as police team leader Kim Moo-chan, an exceptional policeman who got promoted to team leader in record time. Park Sung-woong, who acted in Unlock My Boss, will portray Kwon Seok-joo who is serving a prison sentence after turning himself in for killing the criminal who sexually assaulted his 8-year-old daughter. Lim Ji-yeon, who made waves with her role in Lies Hidden in My Garden—also available on Prime Video—will play a lieutenant who was once the ace of the Cyber Investigation Team.
