The world of art and technology is about to meet again as Red Bull Doodle Art is back and bigger than ever before. Starting February 13, students from universities across the Philippines can showcase their love and skill for doodle art for a shot to compete in the Doodle Art World Finals this May 2023 in Amsterdam.
Red Bull Doodle Art has been one of the most effective catalysts for the evolution of doodling. The latest project the creative proving ground will take on is cryptocurrency’s ever-evolving landscape. NFTs, or Non-Fungible Tokens, have been on a rapid rise as of late. From digitized collectibles for sports fans to social media avatars in the form of stylized apes, the love for NFT art is apparent and this particular season aims to capitalize precisely on that on the Red Bull Stage.
Every season of the global doodle competition is an opportunity to empower artists and demonstrate their skills on a worldwide stage. After a 6-year hiatus, the competitors are stepping inside the metaverse. Registration, qualifying rounds, and other events leading up to the World Finals will commence on the following dates:
- February 13 to March 13 – Application and Selection Phase
- March 25 – National Finals
- April 17 to May 24 – Artist Collab
- May 25 to May 28 – World Finals
Some of the most renowned names in the local arts scene will be gracing the National Finals to impart their knowledge and experience to this year’s competitors. The invited guests will also serve as the judges to determine who will go on to Amsterdam and represent the Philippines at the World Finals of Red Bull Doodle Art.
