Platinum-selling recording artist, songwriter, and producer Madison Beer has released her new single “Spinnin.” The smooth mid-tempo track features hypnotic guitars that build into a powerful chorus, with Madison’s ethereal vocals bringing life to the contemplative lyrics. The song was co-produced and written by Madison and Leroy Clampitt, with additional writing credits by Tim Sommers and Jeremy “Kinetics” Dussolliet.
Alongside the single arrives the cinematic visual directed by Madison & Aerin Moreno, in which Madison finds herself in a dream-like sequence as she discovers the world around her is frozen in time.
Speaking about the release, Madison said, “This song is a reflection of a time when everything seemed to stand still. I felt like every day was a cycle and I was stuck in such an anxious place, yet I could finally explore the thoughts and emotions in my head. I dreamed of a video that was cinematic and visually striking that brought those emotions to life, and I’m so proud of what we created.”
Madison first teased “Spinnin’” during her performance for Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series. The song comes from Madison’s highly anticipated sophomore album Silence Between Songs, arriving September 15, 2023, via EPIC Records. With her exceptional talent for storytelling and emotional depth, Madison will explore themes of growth, reflection, and introspection. Paying homage to some of her favorite artists such as Lana Del Rey, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and Tame Impala, Madison will deliver a refreshing and innovative sonic experience and infuse the album’s visual aesthetics with her distinctive artistic vision.
Speaking on the album, Madison said “I’ve learned so much about myself and my artistry on the journey of the last two years since my last record. This album tells the story of so many different pieces of me that I discovered in the moments of pause where I settled down from the noise and learned the most about myself. I hope my fans are as inspired listening to it as I was when creating it.”
