Cleofe Albiso, Managing Director of Megaworld Hotels and Resorts, thanks Habitat for Humanity for the Hope for Every Juan partnership allowing them to extend help in building homes for deserving Filipinos.

“We go back to what matters most and that’s building meaningful relationships through meaningful experiences extending not only to guests of MHR but also in the communities that we serve” shares Cleofe Albiso, Managing Director of Megaworld Hotels and Resorts.

Apart from the repainting of homes, MHR also turned over almost 70 Sampaguita seedlings reinforcing their advocacy to revive the dying Sampaguita industry in the Philippines.

Megaworld Hotels and Resorts enunciates the message of heartfelt giving as they extend help this holiday season kickstarting their partnership with Habitat for Humanity! Through the charitable organization’s “Bahay ni Juan” housing project, MHR through its 6 brands and 12 hotels located across the Philippines are working together to raise funds to build homes for deserving Filipinos.

Joining the Hope for Every Juan project are volunteers Angelica Lopez, Ms. International Philipinnes 2023 and Anna Valencia Lakrini, Ms. Globe 2023-2nd Runner-Up.

Combining the efforts of MHR and Habitat for Humanity, the two organizations share the vision of “Bringing Hearts, Building Homes, and Hope for Every Juan”, partnership project. Scaling their efforts, the goal is to generate two million pesos worth of support through persistent awareness drives and project donations.

“The partnership’s timing couldn’t be more perfect” says Samantha Manuel, MHR’s Group Director of Online Reputation and Digital Marketing. She continues, “instead of throwing our usual grand events in our properties to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, we’ve organized volunteer efforts in the sites of Habitat for Humanity where they are present or in other areas where we can conduct community outreach programs.”

Megaworld walks the talk and puts action into their commitment to help communities improve through their ME Green sustainability program.

Megaworld Hotels and Resorts, in alignment with Megaworld Corporation’s MEGreen Sustainability program, is pulling out all stops to activate all possible ways to support this worthwhile advocacy. They start with their base of 2,000 employees. Through MHR’s internal “Circle of Happiness” culture program, the hotel chain extends sponsorships for Habitat for Humanity’s charity dinners and at the same time organize its teams to dedicate volunteer hours for building new homes and needed refurbishments in specific sites.

Guests may also extend help to support the cause may they stay in MHR’s Boracay, Cebu, Iloilo, NCR or Tagaytay hotels. During their visits, they may opt to drop their donations over the counter, upon check-in, or any time during their stay. Guests may book their stay directly with any Savoy and Belmont properties located in Boracay, Cebu, and Manila. They may also stay in MHR’s Richmonde Hotels located in Eastwood, Ortigas, and Iloilo or maybe drop by the Hotel Lucky Chinatown in Binondo. Others may consider Kingsford Hotel Manila in Paranaque and lastly Twin Lakes Hotel in Tagaytay overlooking the Taal Lake.
