Philippine Esports Organization (PeSO), the national governing body for esports in the Philippines, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of its new headquarters. The inauguration event, attended by PESO board members and distinguished guests, symbolized a significant milestone in the organization’s journey to support and advance the esports industry in the Philippines.

The ceremony commenced with a solemn priest blessing, followed by a tour of the headquarters. PESO also unveiled its Championship Wall, a mural dedicated to the hardship and passion of Sibol players since 2019. The new facility, located at the Launchpad in Mandaluyong City, will serve as a central hub that will further strengthen PESO’s engagement with members, facilitate partnerships, and enhance operations of Team Sibol, the national esports team representing the Philippines in international competitions.

During the event, PESO also announced the launch of its membership plans launching Q3 of 2023, inviting interested organizations and individuals to join and contribute to the growth and development of the National Sports Authority for esports in the Philippines. The membership portal, accessible through PESO’s website, will provide a platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and networking within the vibrant esports community.

Marlon Marcelo, Executive Director of PESO, expressed his excitement about the new headquarters, stating, “The opening of our new headquarters is proof of the tremendous progress we have made, not just as an organization but Philippine esports as well. We look forward to using this new space to keep growing and winning the esports world for the Philippines.”

PESO’s new headquarters represents a significant step forward in elevating the Philippines’ standing on the global esports stage. With this dedicated space for collaboration and innovation, PESO is poised to drive positive change and ensure a bright future for Philippine esports.
