The Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) or PMCC (4th Watch) is calling on Filipinos to give the gift of blood through its nationwide bloodletting activity on Saturday, July 8.
The bloodletting activity will be conducted in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross and will happen simultaneously across 30 locations across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. PMCC (4th Watch)’s blood drive will be formally opened at the Philippine Red Cross Headquarters in Mandaluyong.
Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol, the church’s Chief Executive Minister, along with Bishop Jonathan Ferriol, Deputy Executive Minister, will be leading the launch of the nationwide bloodletting activity. Blood donations from the church’s nationwide bloodletting drive will be for the benefit of the Philippine Red Cross, with Chairman Richard “Dick” Gordon expected to be in attendance.
Bishop Ferriol explained that this activity aims to bring new life to those in need in the community, regardless of whether or not they are part of the church.
“By drawing a connection between the transformative power of the Gospel and the life-giving nature of blood donation, we underscore the unity of our mission. Both endeavors aim to bring new life, whether through the spiritual nourishment of the Word or the physical revitalization through blood transfusions,” he said.
The bloodletting activity is part of the church’s 50th anniversary celebration, which will also include other medical missions for underserved communities across the Philippines. PMCC (4th Watch) will also be conducting a global sports festival and various Global Prayer and Healing Crusades. It will culminate with the 2023 International Convention and a Golden Anniversary celebration at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium in Capas, Tarlac on August 27.
For several decades, PMCC (4th Watch) has been conducting small- and large-scale activities that aim to give back to the local community. “Through various initiatives and programs in the past five decades, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families. By actively listening to the needs and concerns of our neighbors, fostering open dialogue, and building genuine connections, we seek to understand the challenges faced by the community and work collaboratively toward finding sustainable solutions. By partnering with local organizations, community leaders, and residents, we can create a powerful network of support that addresses the diverse needs of our community,” Bishop Ferriol said.
He also appealed to the Filipinos’ sense of compassion and goodwill to participate in their nationwide blood drive, “Together, we can save lives, support the well-being of our society, and exemplify the power of unity in serving a common cause.”
