Pops Fernandez is releasing her comeback single “Always Loved” this Friday (July 28) in celebration of her 40th year in the music industry.
The Philippines’ Concert Queen announced her recording project last Sunday (July 23) on “ASAP Natin ‘To” during the variety show’s special tribute to her.
Kapamilya singers Jona, Klarisse de Guzman, and Morissette performed some of Pops’ greatest OPM hits while Ogie Alcasid, Erik Santos, and Regine Velasquez each sang a duet with her.
Pops got emotional while thanking the “ASAP” family and recalling her previous journey with the show where she served as one of the original hosts.
“ASAP will always be my family. I will always feel that I am part of ASAP. It is very meaningful that I get to celebrate my anniversary here and of course my new song. It means a lot to me,” Pop tearfully said.
The renowned TV host-singer penned the song “Always Loved” together with Jeremy G, SAB, Trisha Denise, and ABS-CBN Music director Jonathan Manalo, who also produced the song to be released under Star Music. The single aims to touch the hearts of listeners with a message of love and happiness without the need for validation.
